WHAT IF CABLE SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE IN MY AREA?
We suggest you give us a call at 905 574-6464 as our cable service area is constantly expanding and we may be offering cable in your area soon.

Our TV Pack at $55.99/MO includes all of our Basic Cable channels, plus 20 popular specialty channels like CNN, Speed Channel, TLC, Rogers Sportsnet, A&E, W, TSN, Spike TV, Space, CNN Headline News, History, Family Channel, Peachtree TV, Discovery Channel, Slice TV, HGTV, Teletoon and AMC. No additional equipment is required for Basic Cable or the TV Pack.
IS THERE GOING TO BE DIGITAL TRANSITION IN CANADA LIKE IN THE UNITED STATES?
Yes, the Canadian Digital Transition is scheduled for August, 2011. Canadian Broadcasters, in larger markets, will be transitioning from analogue to digital delivery. However, this will only affect viewers that receive their television signals from a TV antenna (i.e., tower or “rabbit ears”). It will not affect anyone presently subscribing to cable television. Source Cable analogue customers will continue to receive the same channels they’re getting now, without any added equipment.
WHAT IS CABLE 14?
Cable 14 is a local television channel that has served the Hamilton community for over 35 years. It is owned and operated by Source Cable, Shaw and Cogeco Cable. Utilizing both staff and volunteers, its programming is focused on Hamilton activities. For more details, visit www.cable14.com.
I CANNOT RECEIVE ANY CHANNELS OVER 13.
Every TV has more than one band setting (i.e., where the TV gets its signal from). The default setting is ANT or antenna mode. This means that the TV will only pick up channels from over-the-air which are in the first 13 channels. In order to receive the rest of the channels, the TV must be set to the CATV or Cable setting. This will allow the TV to pick up the channels delivered through cable.
THERE IS A DOUBLE IMAGE OR POOR PICTURE ON ONE OR MORE OF MY CHANNELS.
This is commonly known as ingress or ghosting and is normally caused by two different signals competing for the same channel. Ingress can be caused by a number of different conditions as well. If the problem persists, then one of our technical service representatives will arrange a service call for you.
WHAT IS THE LARGE BLACK BOX OVER TOP OF THE PICTURE ON MY TV SCREEN?
This can happen when closed captioning is turned on. To remove closed captioning, press the CC or CAP/TEXT button on your television’s remote control (until closed captioning is turned off). If your remote does not have a button that controls closed captioning, you may have to change this setting on your television’s on-screen menu.
I HAVE THE RIGHT PICTURE BUT THE WRONG SOUND ON SOME CHANNELS.
This can happen when the SAP (Secondary Audio Programming) feature is turned on. Some television networks offer a second audio fee for their programming. Simply turn off the SAP feature on your remote control or via the on-screen menu. Refer to your TV manual for more information.
