WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL CABLE OVER ANALOGUE?

Digital cable is a compressed signal, allowing Source Cable to provide many more television networks than a traditional analogue line-up. The digital signal has far better picture and sound quality than analogue. In addition, Digital Cable customers automatically receive some extra television networks at no additional charge. These include 18 digital basic networks and 40 commercial-free music channels. Digital provides viewers with access to On Demand, Pay-Per-View, Premium Movie Channels, Adult & International networks and our Super Sports Pak. Digital customers also receive our on-screen iGuide, which provides program information, show reminders, favourite channel listings and parental control features.

WHY DOESN’T THE TV GUIDE CHANNEL (CH. 17) FEATURE DIGITAL CHANNELS?

The TV Guide channel only lists analogue channels because anyone with a digital terminal receives their program listings via iGuide, our on-screen Interactive Program Guide (IPG).

ARE ALL CHANNELS DIGITAL?

Yes, if you have a digital terminal and subscribe to our digital cable services.

HOW DO I GET THE VARIOUS DIGITAL NETWORKS?

You can purchase them in theme packages or in most cases, on a stand alone basis. We offer 9 different digital theme packages ranging in price from $6.99/MO to $9.99/MO. You can also purchase these packages in groups of 3 ($18/M0), 5 ($25/MO) or 7 ($30/MO).

A number of our digital networks are also available on a standalone basis at $2.49/MO each (Leafs TV is $3.99/MO). Check our channel guide to see which networks are available on their own.

WHAT FOREIGN LANGUAGE NETWORKS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH SOURCE?

We offer Telelatino (Italian and Spanish); ATN (South Asian); Odyssey (Greek); Fairchild (Cantonese and Mandarin); Rai International (Italian) as well as the two Omni channels which offer programming in many languages.

HOW DO I BLOCK PROGRAMMING?

The interactive program guide (iGuide) offers a Parental Control feature which allows you to block out specific networks or programs or services like On Demand and Pay-Per-View. You can also set locks based on Movie Ratings or TV Ratings. Simply press your menu/settings twice on your remote control to bring up Set Up. Then select Parental Control Setup and enter or create your 4-digit pass code.
